He sings Smooth R&B, Jazz and Contemporary Pop. He also appreciates Opera, Country & Blues.Bobby Hutton began singing at the age of 5. His Professional Career began In Detroit, Michiganafter winning a talent show at The 20 Grand Club and was then invited to Motown.

While at Motown, he had a chance to learn quite a bit about writing songs and what they look for in songs. Believing the ideal a [hook] in a song actually started there. Bobby then known as Harold, became a part of the Motown Family. Who was there at the time? Marv Johnson, Marvin Gaye, Mary Wells, Smokeyand all the Miracles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, of course, just The Supremes. At that time, there were four of them & The Temptations. Bobby was even there when Lil Stevie Wonder auditioned singing a Jackie Wilson song. His reason for leaving Motown is a story and he’ll hold those things back a bit longer.

While in DetroitBobby was hanging out at the home of Billy Davis. Billy and Berry Gordy use to write songs together for Jackie Wilson. Living in Billy’s house was David RuffinDavid and Bobby developed a friendship and practiced singing different vocal runs. David was with The Temptations.

Bobby moved on to Chicago and signed with Chess Records, never getting a release from Motown. While at Chess, he was hired to sing with Fontella Bass, replacing Bobby McClure becoming Fontella Bass & Bobby Hutton hence the name Bobby. Their first appearance was at The World Famous Apollo Theater in New York City. He then signed with Philips Records recording songs like [Come See What’s Left Of Me] [More Today Than Yesterday] [I Can’t Stand A Woman Two Timing Her Man] [Your My Whole Reason] written by Donny Hathaway. This was Bobby’s debut song on the very first nation wide [Soul Train Show].

Over thirty years ago, along with Gladys Knight & The Pips, Eddie Kendricks and The Honey Cones, Bobby signed with ABC Dunhill where he recorded Northern Soul Athem[Lend A Hand]. Bobby Hutton is very well known for his Northern Soul, especially in the northern part of EnglandBobby Hutton still makes his living just singing today. Go to [BobbyHutton UK] for more information on BH.

Bobby’s concept on this CD is to show the Jazz influence that has kept him in the Music Business. The ability to sing Jazz, and Classic Standards, as well as R&B, has sustained his longevity. All those years, singing without a record deal in Hotels, Clubs, Casinos, and private functions have kept him very busy. After learning a whole lot of songs he had to sing except his own, that drove him back to recording. He has an arsenal of unreleased songs he recorded back in the 80’s.

He’s been signed to Motown to Chess to Phillips, to ABC Dunhill and now producing himself. Bobby feels the R&B Market has been huge for him realizing, steppers music considered to be grown folks music is R&B, without Jazz, R&B, Contemporary, etc., he would not be complete as an Artist. The best is yet to come.

Since the release of this CD, Bobby Hutton’s career has taken off again .[Twenty Years Later] has gotten him nominated as Best Male Singer 2007 in the city of Chicago by The Chicago Music Awards.Twenty Years Later has become a Steppers Classic in a very short time, respected as a work of art something Bobby is very proud of .The top played songs on the CD are Twenty Years Later, Make It Easy On Yourself, Saving All My Love, Just The Way You Are……All Bobby’s arrangement .
