Music is an international language, and Blues and Jazz are America’s classical music. Join my friends from various countries and me for an exciting and inspiring week of Jazz, Blues, and Gospel music.

The 1st International Blues, Jazz, Folk and Gospel Festival was held at the LVH hotel in Las Vegas, from March 24 till March 31, 2013.

Every day at 3 PM, there was a Gospel show. The evenings from 8 PM on were devoted to Blues and Jazz music.

From March 25 till March 28, there was also a Free Authentic American Music Workshop Gospels and More for the children and students of the Clark County School District.

The workshop was from 9 AM till 11 AM from Monday through Thursday in the LVH Convention Center with a performance on March 31.

The North American, multi-talented artist, Ms. Harrington is known as a jazz, blues and gospel singer, producer and actress. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, she now lives in Germany, near Lüneburg, with her German husband, trombonist and piano maker Werner Gürtler.


Her career began in 1969 with tours throughout Southeast Asia, where she performed for the U.S. military in several USO shows during the Vietnam War.Great success they had the 1975th to 1977 as a special guest at the Las Vegas Flamingo Hotel During this time she also played leading roles in the plays Norman Is That You and Two Gentlemen From Verona and was a guest in the American television series Days Of Our Lives to see.


Ms. Harrington stood with artists such as Billy Daniels, Lloyd Bridges, Frank Sinatra Jr., Sammy Davis Jr. and Lionel Hampton on stage. Lionel Hampton once said of Ms. Harrington, she was a “one-women show”.


1980 Janice Harrington came to Europe. Here she performed in various concerts previous programs, including 1982 for Joan Armatrading in Oslo and 1989 – together with the Ken Lending Blues Band – for BB King in Copenhagen. A highlight of her career was the appearance of Bishop Desmond Tutu in Oslo, at the presentation of his Nobel Peace Prize. Ms. Harrington wowed the audience in joint appearances with Rock in Dopsie, Buddy Guy, Champion Jack Dupree and Luther Allison . 1993 Ms. Harrington was on tour in Switzerland with Big Jay McNeely . As a jazz singer, she went along with Nat Adderley, Papa Bue’s Viking Jazz Band , the Humphrey Lyttleton band and the Dutch Swing College Band at. She also worked as a solo guest with the Danish Television Big Band , the Oslo Radio Orchestra , the NDR Radio Big Band and Big Band RTV Ljubljana . Added several appearances in radio and television production.

Ms. Harrington has two musicals written: Streets of Harlem , listed in Oslo and What My Eyes Have Seen , produced in Hamburg.
