The P. Luna Foundation fights child abuse by creating innovative programs to educate, aid law enforcement, and build awareness about the growing epidemic of child abuse and exploitation with an emphasis on young males who have been abused.

Male Abuse Awareness is an International Program hosted by the P. Luna Foundation (or PLF), a California 501(c)3, Non-Profit Corporation. Donations are Tax Deductible.

Men are very often the unrecognized victims of abuse.

The help4guys.org site is in recognition and is a result of the popular response to the P. Luna Foundation’s annual awareness campaign of Male Abuse Awareness Week (MAAW) that is held every Dec. 1st through 8th.

Manasseh & Ephraim Studios (ME Studios) is a film and television production company located in Glendale, California. The company’s aim is to entertain audiences and help encourage the distinctive gift of creativity and imagination among viewers and fans. ME Studios’ current project, Shame, takes a look into domestic violence victimization from a different angle, a male victim. Our commitment as a film studio is to create stories and characters that compel us to enter into their world and follow them along their journey.

Shame is a very important project because it sheds light on a very important topic; domestic violence as a whole and male domestic violence victimization in particular. According to a 2010 Violence Prevention report, 53% of domestic violence victims in the United States were men. ME Studios wanted to develop a project that would shed light on this surprising fact, and since we are passionate about storytelling, we felt this was a good medium to tell a worthwhile story. What’s particularly unique is that the audience is universal because domestic violence and its impact on victims, families, and communities is universal. We hope this film educates, touches, inspires, and compels the audience to not only value the story, but share the story and help increase awareness.
