May 19, 2015 was a very special anniversary for them,

We also salute and pay tribute to all the services who keep us safe

and allow us to enjoy our freedom and follow our passions through music!

In 1990, they quit their L.A. jobs, sold everything they had and bought one-way tickets to Amsterdam.

On May 19th they went to LAX, on 2 hours of sleep, as they were up all night packing!

25 years later they’re still going,

it’s truly a miracle and they want to give thanks to all their lovely generous

new and old friends who have made their Gorilla journey possible!

Michael & Robyn  are  in Berlin, in their production office,

getting ready to shoot their 6th feature film, Mr. Rudolpho’s Jubilee.

In this photo, Robyn is wearing the vest she had made 25 years ago,

to perform in and also wearing her magic hat!

This hat was filled with Lire, Francs, Guilders, Marks etc.

when they first played in the streets!

Sweet memories, your good energy and many blessings

help them to keep on keeping on!

Go for your dreams, if we can do it, you can do it!

Thanks for all the support! Michael & Robyn

Uncle Earl & The Ultimate Underground Experience Presents

“MUSIC: Then & Now- Special Tribute To BEN E. KING” & MusicXray Artists

Ben E. King

a soul music legend both as part of The Drifters and as a solo artist,has died at age 76.

King best known for “Stand By Me,” an inspirational song of unity.

The North Carolina born King moved to Harlem as a child

and was singing around New York by the time he was a teen.

He joined The Drifters in 1958 and sang lead on a string of hits for the act,

including “This Magic Moment” and “Save the Last Dance For Me,”

helping establish The Drifter as arguably the most successful R&B group of the time.

King left the Drifters in the early 60s for what became

a memorable solo career, highlighted by two now-classic 60s hits, “Spanish Harlem” and “Stand By Me.”

The latter re-charted several times over the next few decades,

most notably upon the 1986 release of the Rob Reiner movie of the same name.

King also sporadically hit the charts in the 70s, landing the big hit “Supernatural Thing”

and teaming with the Average White Band on “Get It Up For Love.

”King continued to successfully perform internationally on the oldies circuit

for the remainder of the 20th Century and into the 21st, still sounding great.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 as part of The Drifters.

In a generation that representing the Golden Age of Soul Music,

Ben E. King stands as one of its giants,

a unique singer whose achingly passionate performance on “Stand By Me”

remains among the greatest soul music performances of all time.

The other featured Artists were gracious enough to submit their works to me as Music Supervisor for the new indie film “FOR 20” written and directed by Blaze Mazur. There was so much good music, we could not place it all so I decided to showcase them. It’s eclectic, crazy, fun and often “out of the box.” We Love’em All!!!!!
