Hello All Underground Dwellers…..I want to call your attention to RICHARD ROSSEREntertainer, children’s author, musical composer, motivational speaker and creator of “Piggy Nation” ….. a series of books that present a positive message to kids AND parents in an amusing update of the “golden rule.”

Richard Rosser – Creator of “Piggy Nation”

Entertainer, children’s author, cartoonist, musical composer and motivational speaker Richard Rosser has taken on the task of ridding the world of “piggy behavior” and bad etiquette. After watching someone take a parking space from his mother-in-law, Rosser decided it was enough! No more drivers parking in two spaces. No more dogs pooping on neighbors’ lawns. No more leaving the toilet seat up. No more texting while driving. No more cell phones ringing in the movie theatre.

Rosser is the creator of “Piggy Nation,” a series of children’s books that focus on piggy behavior and presenting a positive message to youngsters in an amusing update of the “Golden Rule.” “Piggy Nation” was launched in 2010 with “Piggy Nation The Musical,” which was performed by middle school students at The Pierson Playhouse in Pacific Palisades, California.

Momentum is rapidly mounting for “Piggy Nation” with the creation of a comic strip (already appearing in the Oklahoma City Sunday Oklahoman) and his newest children’s chapter book “Piggy Nation: Let’s Go Camping.”

Having worked in children’s programming at Nickelodeon and The Disney Channel, Rosser notes that his children’s books are a natural outlet to vent his frustration with piggy behavior. Teaming with illustrator Shane Sowell (The Simpsons, King of the Hill), the two have created a family of fun characters and real-life situations.

Rosser performs and speaks at school assemblies, community groups, civic clubs and organizations.

The Underground Experience Presents Uncle Earl’s Birthday Jam featuring Pop/Electro Dance Artists Porter & Jaymie Elliott and Mr. Chris Dupre – Producer/Director/Choreographer & Founder of True Vision Entertainment!

COME ONE….COME ALL….ON A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATORY JOURNEY WITH ME AND A FEW FRIENDS….IT’S GONNA BE SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!

Porter and Jaymie Elliott are a completely original duo. While their pop music is very commercial, it still embodies a high level of integrity and artistic substance. They are their own studio creation, not relying on any outside writers/producers and are ready to release their vision of music, art and fashion to the world, IF the world is ready for them…

Not ones to rely on just their capable voices, they are true “show people,” staging their shows with dancers, wardrobe changes and high energy. Porter writes most of the material and co-produces it with Jaymie Elliott who has a very defined vision for what she wants to deliver to the audience.

Porter learned music producing directly from one of the most famous and successful music producers in the business, Narada Michael Walden. Walden, who worked with such industry icons as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, saw the talent and drive in the young musician and brought him on as one of his associate producers. Porter’s main influences are other self-contained music machines like Prince and George Michael. Porter and Jaymie Elliott’s sound takes pages out of Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Black Eyed Peas.

They are already working on new music and are always working on their live performances, something they take very seriously. Today, they are some of the most talented young artists on the scene, writing, producing, singing and performing their own music, with their own band. People who hear them play and see them perform know this is not the same old sound or group. They are artists who have found a way to blend musical categories, old and new styles, and in the process, create something totally unique.

Special Note – See Porter & Jaymie Elliott Next Wed. February 29th @ 7:30pm LIVE at SKINNY’S

4923 Lankershim Blvd.      North Hollywood, California

SIYAM

Passion and perseverance have led to the release of Siyam’s debut LP, “Sacred Ceremonial Ground.” Siyam achieved much success from his first release, “My Soul Purpose.” A “great album” review from Jason Pulaski of KUCI 88.9FM,       3 and 1/2 stars from Liam Thomson of stateofemergency.net based in England.

SIYAM

(Pronounced SEE-YOM) was born on Nov. 19 in Santa Monica, Calif. He moved to an unincorporated area between the cities of Arcadia and Monrovia where at an early age, he developed a passion for music. Siyam caught an appearance by Run-DMC and Jam-Master Jay on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and it was then that he knew hip-hop music was his destiny. LL Cool J, Rakim and the Sugar Hill Gang are some of his influences.

SIYAM

Began creating his own mixes and scratches using his family’s old eight-track unit that had a turntable he used for spinning records with Break Beats. His first recordings were made in 1986, and he went by the name of Def K.  Siyam continued his journeys with hip-hop continually writing, rapping, free-styling and performing. In 1992, he began a demo project in Pasadena featuring “Lost in The Darkness which caught attention.,” Siyam approached music directors at Power 106 and his song made it to air on the station’s “Make it or Break it”-type show. Listeners responded favorably to the song, but the show was soon cancelled and Siyam had to find another outlet for his music.

SIYAM

Enrolled in recording engineering classes at Pasadena City College (PCC). It was there that he became friends with music producer Matt Lavella who has produced several of Siyam’s songs. Siyam took a hiatus but believes that some of his best work has been created since the birth of his son. Oct. 2003, Siyam’s hit the radio airwaves again on KUCI-FM (88.9) at U.C. Irvine in regular rotation. Siyam released his 2nd full length album in October 2011 titled, “13 Is The Number” with a compilation Album coming out titled, A Killer’s Point of View.

**********************************************************************

Kevin Alexander Stea is an American dancer, choreographer, actor,  singer, director and model.

Stea was born in Hollywood, California, and is half-Caucasian and half-Chinese. He grew up in various places in the United States (Los Angeles, California; Marlette, Michigan; Eugene, Oregon; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Santa Fe, New Mexico), then completed his high school education in Singapore on a scholarship at the United World College of South East Asia, where he received the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Following that, he went on to the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television, which he left to pursue a dance career.

A gymnast while in his youth, Stea began dancing seriously while he was at college.

A year after his first dance job, he was hired by Madonna as a dance captain, dancer and assistant choreographer on her 1990 Blond Ambition Tour. Stea appeared several times in the documentary Truth or Dare, which was made about the tour. Subsequently, Stea danced and assisted with choreography for Michael Jackson. He has also worked with numerous other high-profile music acts including Prince, Ricky Martin, Janet Jackson, George Michael,David Bowie, Celine Dion, Macy Gray, Anastacia, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Tony Bennett, Will.i.am and the Pussycat Dolls.

Welcome to the Funk-It-Be Army!

Music is Stevie Hawkins’ passion. He grew up listening to and working to master a wide variety of music on drums and vocals. He plays and sings everything from jazz, to rock, to soul, pop, latin, blues, funk and R&B. Stevie is an extremely versatile player with an instinctive and distinctive style of drumming and singing. His inborn natural abilities combined with years of formal training cause him to play and sing with feel, style, finesse and technique. He has received numerous musical awards throughout his career.

Stevie has played drums for legendary artists:

John Lee Hooker, Percy Sledge, Brook Benton, Chuck Berry, Dee Clark, Chubby Checker, Ace Cannon, Johnny Rodrigeuz, Ed Bruce, Gregg Allman, and The Ink Spots. Others he’s shared the stage with include Johnny Winter, Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, Alice Cooper, Bertie Higgins, Jeff Carson, Razzy Bailey, Daryle Singletary and Doug Stone.

Between 2001 and 2003 Stevie recorded The Georgia Jam CD tracks.

A Southern Rock fusion of Blues, Rock, Jazz, R&B, Folk, Soul and Country. The tracks were recorded on a portable stereo Digital Audio Tape recorder with a stereo microphone placed onstage with a direct line from the PA system for capturing the vocals and horns. The album of the same name was released in 2005 by Emphasis Records. None of the songs on Georgia Jam were rehearsed with the exception of “Honest Man”. The musicians were from the era of sensing, and things could happen on the spot.

In 2006 Stevie released “High Time” a Blues/Soul album with Johnny “Guitar” Brown, Spencer Kirkpatrick, Terrell “Cool” Robinson and Wally Tarado.

2011 brings us “What The Funk?”

The album containing 19 tracks spans the world of Funk music from the 60’s to the present. Featuring some of the best in their genres: Soul Diva Jocelyn Brown, Sista Monica Parker, Tony Lindsay, D’Layna, Funk Dogg, Cooley, Jaroslav Jakubovic, The Blues Brothers Horns, The Memphis Horns, Joe Vitale, Thiago Pinheiro, Butch Taylor, Tyrone Chase, Anthony Vitti, Sal Giorgiani, Jennifer Cosaro, Ralph Rosen, Delicious Allstars, Sanj Sen and Chuck Webb, the album’s style is a mix of several genres, such as Soul, Blues, Jazz, Latin and the many other influences that make Funk music what it is.

Revered as one of the all time greats and a groove monster by his peers, especially among African-American musicians, Stevie is highly respected, and in consistent demand for his original brand of “riding the feel” Blues – Soul drumming, and “in the pocket” R&B/Funk drumming/singing for both stage and studio.

What the Funk

is a mix of funk, soul, jazz, latin, blues, with rock overtones blended throughout the tracks. Although this is me doin’ my thing, me being me, the album pays homage to some of my inspirations and influences as a vocalist and drummer such as Bootsy Collins and P-Funk, Clyde Stubblefield, Tower of Power, Al Green, Bobby Bland, George Clinton, Funkadelic, Sly Stone, James Brown, Thelonious Monk, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix and others. There is a little something here for everyone. You get the funk, and then some!
